At BD Food Safety, we are proud to offer a college scholarship program for two students in the process of pursuing a Bachelor or Master of Science or Food Science degree. The awarded students will receive $1,000 to be used toward expenses for their degrees.
Who may apply?
U.S. citizens accepted to or currently attending a college or university within the United States. The winners will be required to provide proof of acceptance to their college or university, or a college transcript.
What is required?
Applicants must write an essay on this topic: “The Future of Food Safety Management Systems.” In this essay, applicants should consider new technologies in managing food safety records, conducting internal audits, environmental microbiology, and modern approaches to employee food safety training.
Deadline:
Applications must be submitted via the web form by November 30, 2021.
Next steps:
The award recipients will be notified of their selection on or around December 31, 2021. The scholarship award is to be used exclusively for school tuition or related expenses. A check for $1,000 will be made payable to the award recipients’ college or university. The recipients are expected to submit receipts in accordance with IRS regulations.
